The training was held on 9^th March 2021 and took place in Conrad Corniche El Nile hotel.    The training was given to the audience by UNIDO consultancy firm Chemonics Egypt represented in Dr. Ahmed Yehia and his team. The audience was a mix of firms and individuals in the Egyptian market that work in the solar thermal energy technologies as well as financial institutions. The participating individuals are divided into three categories:

• Firms that manufacture SWH components
• Firms that supply and install SWH
• Financial institutions

The aim of this training is to introduce Solar Water Heater Systems for Industrial Process to the financial institutions in Egypt. The training familiarizes the banking sector with SHIP systems feasibility studies and clarifies the important technical points that banks need to take care of while examining a SWH project. The training also brings financial institutions and solar system companies together allowing them to share knowledge and experience.

The one day training lasted 4 days covered the below areas:

• Supporting policies & financial schemes
• SHIP market size & value chain, competiveness
• SHIP system implementation feasibility study
